In order for you to have the best chance in the markets you have to really focus on educating yourself. off course, There are many books you can read, but I would stay away from that method of education as it can get outdated very quickly as day trading is very dynamic. There is so much information on the web, so be prepared to digest it all over a two year period before you ever start seeing serious results from trading.

Having been with ForexMentor for many years I have a lot of respect for Shirley Hudson and Vic Noble. Shirley has never made any secret that she likes her job as a realtor and Vic is one of the nicest guys you could know. His mentoring programs and Coaches Corner have helped me and no doubt countless others tremendously over the years. HOWEVER! There is a shadier side to forexmentor and I was so discusted in their tactics recently that I decided to blacklist them from my vendor pool. Some guy called Lennox Chambers (developer of his ‘special’ black box… Read more »
Strategies that retain some uncertainty and cannot be easily formalized into mathematical rules are called discretionary. Such strategies can be backtested only manually. They are also prone to emotional errors and various psychological biases. On the bright side, discretionary trading is very flexible and allows experienced traders to avoid losses in difficult market situation, while offering an opportunity to extend profit when traders deem it feasible. Newbie currency traders should probably stay away from discretionary trading, or at least try to minimize the extent of their discretion in trading.
This forex trading strategy takes advantage of the momentum of the market that is currently prevalent. Any market sentiment is a sum total of all the traders’ prevalent sentiments. This ultimately results in the forex market moving in a specific direction. Market sentiment is a very important aspect and traders should learn to read or feel the same in order to successfully trade currencies. Sometimes it is easy to understand the sentiment, but some other it may not be very obvious.
For this strategy, we will use the Exponential Moving Average (EMA) indicator. The previous week's last daily candlestick has to be closed at a level above the EMA value. Now we have to look for the moment when the previous week's maximum level was broken. Next, a buy stop order is placed on the H4 closed candlestick, at the price level of the broken level.
The forex trading strategy Carry Trade is different from other forex strategies. While most of the Forex trading strategies follow the concept “buy low/sell high”, Carry Trade relies mainly on the difference in interest rate between the currencies. This means that forex traders can make profit even if the market is stable. When employing this strategy, traders buy a currency with a high differential ratio, meaning the interest rate of the currency they buy will be higher than that of the currency they sell.
Risk Disclosure Statement: Trading currencies on margin involves a high level of risk which may not be suitable for all investors. Leverage can work against you just as easily as it can work for you. Before deciding to trade currencies you should carefully consider your trading and financial objectives, level of experience, and appetite for risk. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some, or possibly all of your trading capital. Therefore, you should not fund a trading account with money that you cannot afford to lose. It is recommended that you seek advice from an accredited financial advisor if you have any doubts as to whether currency trading is right for you. No representation or guarantee is offered or implied as to the trading results that may be attained by applying concepts presented herein. Any losses incurred by traders unsuccessful in applying these ideas or methods are the sole responsibility of the trader and Currex Investment Services Inc (d.b.a “Forexmentor”) and its principals, contractors and assigns will be held safe from prosecution in any form.
Shirley promptly picked up the telephone, as she must have thought that I might have wanted to hire her as a realtor. I told her that I was confused, why is she selling real estate and hustling to make a buck when her trading track record reveals that she is one the most profitable traders on planet earth? Our conversation quickly went downhill. She then refused to speak with me further and requested that I contact Vic Noble about the supposed returns on investment.

What is absolutely nutty about this situation is that Shirley is willing to vociferously claim that these investment returns are 100% authentic. Without the prerequisite disclaimers, if these results turn out to be fraudulent…then Trading Mentor, Vic Noble and Shirley Hudson are looking at a minimum of civil fraud. Perhaps criminal wire and mail fraud.
The profit target is set at 50 pips, and the stop-loss order is placed anywhere between 5 and 10 pips above or below the 7am GMT candlestick, after its formation. This is implemented to manage risk. After these conditions are set, it is now up to the market to take over the rest. Day Trading and Scalping are both short-term trading strategies. However, remember that shorter term implies greater risk, so it is essential to ensure effective risk management.

To what extent fundamentals are used varies from trader to trader. At the same time, the best FX strategies invariably utilize action. This is also known as technical analysis. When it comes to technical currency trading strategies, there are two main styles: trend following, and counter-trend trading. Both of these FX trading strategies try to profit by recognising and exploiting price patterns.
A real mentor will help you understand what is really going on in the Forex or Cryptocurrency markets so you can profit. If your teacher does not help you they are not doing their job. No one can teach you to become a 100% winning trader all of the time, that is not what trading is. That is a fantasy world. What you need is for someone to help you understand how the big players operate and what you need to do to prosper in that environment.

Traders who have chased the price as it bounces upward and have often suffered losses because of a sudden reversal would want to keep this strategy in their minds when trading currencies. By employing this simple strategy, they can determine whether the price will continue in the breakout direction or not. This helps them to increase their profits or reduce losses.
The ‘Elliot Wave Theory’, named after Ralph Elliot, is one of the oldest forex strategies. He analyzed the stock price data for around 70 years and found out that human psychology (emotions, fear and greed) drove the market and that it moved iteratively. This is to say that the market switches between optimistic and pessimistic modes. In this strategy, the motive phase unfurls in 5 steps.
